I'm sure that snow is nothing new to most people on the forum here, but it nearly never snows in London and there's about 2 feet of it! And my school is closed today, so YES! :D

When it DOES snow in Virginia, it ends up as a flurry, and it's very disappointing...

I have snow envy, emil D:

In Maine, we have long winters with a ton of snow. We still have at least a couple feet on the ground right now. I HATE SNOW!

Ohio, not much snow except for those 2 major systems that seem to sweep through every year handing us about a foot each with maybe 4 inches of ice......but i still love it:)

My college closed due to rumours that its going to hit pretty bad later tonight/tommorrow morning here.

Anyway its just a nice change. Its really rare we get snow in the midlands due to the mountains catching most of the snow when it passes.

this is what it took to close my school for the first time in like 20 years, everything was literally frozen, including the roads and some of the doors were even frozen shut, so then my school closed because the city deemed it a hazard to be out driving and they tried to play it off like they closed because it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day

I live in Massachusetts. We had 7 inches of snow last Wednesday in a college city with terrible roads and hills that were solid ice after it turned to rain and froze, and we still had school.

Man up, rest of the world.

My school closes at the mere thought of snow. 2 inches is all it takes for our county to declare driving unsafe and call off school. We get 2 inches pretty often down here in MD too, we had 2 consecutive days off last week.

Clarkson University in Potsdam NY is building covered walkways between every building.

WPI students wear boots. You do the math.

Like Pyroclastic, schools around here (NC) close just a the threat of snow. We actually did have 6 inches a couple of weeks ago, and school was closed for half a week.

Gee, the unbelievable stories of schools closing... Our schools close only at like, 1ft of snow and only if it doesn't stop after that.

I hate shoveling all that stuff, wish i had a snowblower.

We only got a couple of cm overnight, but we've been having on and off blizzard like weather all day, with more coming tonight. Augh.

And christ, you English folk freaking out over some snow. I've been snowed in my house for the better part of 2 weeks before because of 4 foot snow drifts. Until something tops that, I'm just going to giggle at all the southerners acting like the world's going to end
